Automated Text Messages

Description

The Automated Text Message feature allows you to send information and digital materials to your leads or customers on the spot after a Form is submitted.  Enter customer / lead mobile numbers and the system will automatically send the text message you have preconfigured to each customer / lead.

We highly recommend that you use this feature when you have internet connection. If you do not have internet connection then the texts will go out to customers / leads the next time you get connected. 

The automated text messaging feature can be tied to multiple other features to create a unique experience for your users. For example, you can tie these auto messages to:

  • Multiple Choice to send unique digital content to customers / leads based on the Multiple Choice selections made
  • Scratch & Win to send prizes directly to the customer / lead's phone

Configuration Tips

For text messages only, you do not have to add a subject line.
You can add Message Text to your email or text message. There is a 125 character limit. You can add URLs to this area if you want to deliver digital content to users. We recommend using a URL shortner like bit.ly to save on characters. Any attached files will be included as hyperlinks at the end of your message text.
You can preview your message within the Message Preview area. We also recommend that you text yourself a test message before going live with the automated messaging feature in order to confirm everything is working appropriately. 

"From" Text Message Name

The "From Name" that appears in text messages sent to your customers / leads is "OnSpot" by default.   If you wish to update the "From" Name to your company's name - please contact our customer support.  We can assist you in updating this to your company's name (must be 10 characters or less).
